About the project:

The works comprised of the demolition of former units constructed of mainly brick and block with part steel and part timber frame. To remove all foundations supporting current buildings along with concrete slab. All hardcore materials will be crushed to 6f2 and stockpiled on site.
Erection of a full demolition spec independent physically tied Scaffold to front elevation. Demolition by means of hand demolition around retained electric substation. Hand demolition to adjoining flank wall to rear as per client drawings.

Project Challenges:

Large concrete foundations within the ground were never anticipated. To remove these structures a larger machine was brought to site to deal with the demands.

Initially squatters hijacked the building on the day of arrival with plant / machinery to carry out the demolition sequence. This had a delay to our works by 1 week after they removed themselves peacefully.
